For those unfamiliar ...
Canasta Junction allows you to play on your own, with friends or with others online. Before you start to play, you might find it helpful to read through our help section to familiarize yourself with the program.
FIRST THINGS FIRST! Once you have downloaded Canasta Junction to your device, click on Account. From here, set up your exclusive Canasta Junction (or CJ) account. This will keep track of your progress adding to your Player Rank, allow you to compete in Duplicate Canasta and play in live games against other CJ members.

Practice before going live!
We strongly recommend ALL players, even veteran Canasta players, to play Solitaire against our computer A.C.E. before playing in live games. Learning how place cards on the app is easy once you know how, but can be sensitive when you first try.
Select Solitaire (A.C.E.) from the Main Menu. Adjust the Speed Bar and then click Start Game.
Play for as long or as short as you want - no one will know. No one will see. You can start and stop 20 times. You can go for all the Special Hands you want. You can play for 10 minutes or 10 hours. Standard CLA rules apply. Please watch our Melding video to get more help.

Let's talk about discards
Live Play
Once you are comfortable playing Solitaire, you are ready to play against others.
Be sure you are logged in. From the Main Menu, select Live Play. In the Game Lobby you will see a list of games that are in process. Games with a padlock indicate a PRIVATE game secured with a password. Games with a robot indicate that the AI takeover is engaged if someone leaves. The Rank on the right is the level of the HOST Lvl Req if listed, indicates a minimum level is required by the host. We do discourage this as many excellent players have joined CJ and EVERY SINGLE ONE had to start at Level One! Scroll up and down on the far right side of the yellow game box. Tips for finding the right game
|
Shorten your search by clicking on NO PASSWORD or NOT STARTED.
Many players use the game name to indicate the type of game they want to play - FASTFRIDAY - for example is likely for players who like to play quickly. VeteranButNew might indicate someone who is a good Canasta player but new to CJ. CASUAL - might just be what it says. Games are not listed in alphabetical order. Use the search box at the top to search for a particular game - CASE SENSITIVE! For private password games, you will need to know the password to enter. Please watch our video on PLAYING LIVE & STARTING A PRIVATE GAME to learn more and see the games in action. |
Getting your friends to join your table
Tell you friends what time to meet you on CJ
Give them the name and password of the game - THEY ARE CASE SENSITIVE: We suggest using 4 numbers for the password.
